Questions, answered
What counts as a bay?
Every parking space you manage in ParkCanvas, of any type: standard, accessible, EV, motorcycle, reserved and so on. If you add bays during the month, your next bill reflects them.
Do my drivers pay ParkCanvas anything?
No. Drivers pay you, through your payment provider. We don't add fees to their payments, and there's no app for them to download.
Which payment providers can we use?
We connect the card payment provider you already use, or help you choose one, during setup. Cash, payment terminals and account billing work from day one.
Will it work with our cameras and gates?
Most likely. Number plate cameras, barriers, terminals, pay stations and bay sensors that can connect to the internet can all work with ParkCanvas. Bring your hardware list to the demo and we'll go through it.
How long does it take to get going?
Most of the work is describing your car parks: sites, bays, floor plans and tariffs. There's nothing to install, and pay by phone can go live as soon as a car park's signs are up.
Can we change plans or cancel?
Yes. Move between plans as you grow. Monthly plans can be cancelled at the end of any month; yearly plans are paid a year in advance.
Is our data safe?
Yes. Each operator's data is kept completely separate, every change is recorded, and payments can't be edited after the fact. See Security for more.
