Parking management platform

Run every car park from one canvas.

Bays, bookings, permits, payments and gate hardware in one place, with live floor plans, a pricing engine that explains every cent, and pay by phone your parkers can use without an app.

  • Nothing to install
  • Works with your LPR cameras and gates
  • Your brand on every parker page
app.parkcanvas.app/operator
The ParkCanvas operator dashboard: occupancy, available bays, active sessions, today's revenue, live status for three car parks, device alerts, and charts of vehicle movements and revenue by hour.
Pay by phone on a mobile: the parker's plate, how long they've been parked and the amount to pay now, with a card form.

One platform for everyone around a car park

  • Car park operators
  • Companies leasing bays
  • Drivers
  • Hotels, shops & venues
  • Gate & camera hardware

Clear foundations

Five things other systems blur together. ParkCanvas keeps them apart.

A permit isn't a booking, and a booking isn't a car in a bay. Keeping them separate is why a price is never ambiguous and the numbers always reconcile.

  1. 01

    Bay

A real space with a type and a live status, drawn on the level's floor plan.

available · occupied · booked · reserved · permit only · out of service

  2. 02

    Permit

An entitlement built from reusable rules: where, when, for whom, and what it's worth.

memberships · company pools · reserved bays · visitor passes

  3. 03

    Booking

A bay held for a time window. Two bookings can never overlap.

    pending → confirmed → active → completed

  4. 04

    Session

A vehicle actually parked, opened by a camera, a terminal, the app or an attendant.

    LPR · terminal · app · sensor · attendant

  5. 05

    Transaction

An entry on a ledger that can't be edited: charges, payments, refunds and validations.

immutable · audited · reconciles to the cent

What it does

Everything a car park runs on, working from the same records.

See every bay, live, on the real floor plan.

Each level is drawn to scale, with its lanes, ramps, lifts and walls, and every bay coloured by what's happening in it right now. Zoom in to see bay numbers, parked cars and plates.

  • Draw it once in the built-in editor, or trace over your architect's plan.
  • Live status from cameras, sensors, bookings and permits.
  • Click a bay to see who's parked, their booking and the bay's history.

Pricing that explains every cent.

Early bird, evening, weekend and public holiday rates, daily maximums, grace periods, member discounts and event surcharges, all built visually from the same conditions. The engine either returns a fully explained price or tells you exactly why it can't.

  • Versioned tariffs. Every stay is priced with the rates in force when the car entered.
  • Rate simulator. Try any scenario and see every rule that applied, or why it didn't.
  • Public holidays from the national and state calendars, plus your own.
The pricing engine
Rate simulator
The rate simulator pricing a weekday early-bird stay at $29.00, with every rule evaluated: the early bird applied, the general rate eligible but dearer, and other rules rejected with the reason, such as entry before 5:00 PM.

Pay by phone. No app, no ticket.

Every car park gets a QR code. Parkers scan it, type their number plate and pay on the web, as a guest or signed in. At ticketless car parks they can buy time up front and top it up later.

  • The plate is the ticket. Pay before you leave and the exit camera lets you out.
  • No double charges. A double tap or a dropped connection returns the same receipt.
  • Print-ready A4 signs with your QR code, steps and main tariffs.

Validations for the hotel, the shops and the bistro next door.

Businesses near your car parks validate their guests' parking from a tablet at the counter. You decide what each one can give, how many a day or month, and the fee you charge them for each validation.

  • Five validation types: amount off, percentage off, flat price, free hours and free days.
  • Caps that hold, even when two staff validate at the same moment.
  • Fees invoiced to the business, never added to the parker's stay.
Validations

Company parking pools that run themselves.

Companies leasing bays get their own portal: book from the pool, see the week at a glance, manage employees, vehicles and permits, and follow usage and billing. Employees keep one login with a Work and a Personal side, so the company only pays for work parking.

  • Permit pools to assign, release, or lend for a day.
  • A week calendar with utilisation and no-shows.
  • Billing to the company account, stay by stay.

Your brand on every page your parkers see.

Your name, logo and colour replace ours on pay by phone, sign-in, the customer, company and validator portals, emails and printed signs. One colour becomes a full, readable palette, and your customer pages can live on your own web address.

  • A live preview before anything changes for customers.
  • Accessible buttons whatever colour you pick.
  • Your own domain, such as parking.yourcompany.com.au.

Five portals

A view for everyone, and they all agree.

Operators, companies, drivers and validating businesses each get a portal made for them, all working from the same bays, permits, sessions and ledger.

For operators and site managers

The whole operation, at a glance and in detail.

Dashboard, sites, bays, bookings, sessions, companies, customers, permits, validators, pricing, transactions, reports and the audit log. Site managers see only their own sites.

  • Alerts for offline cameras and cars parked too long
  • Reports with CSV export, from the same ledger
  • Seven roles, enforced by the server on every request
Parking sessions
The parking sessions list: plates, session references, parker, car park and bay, entry time, length of stay, how the session started (LPR, app or booking) and payment status.
For companies leasing bays

A parking pool the office manager can actually run.

Book a bay for yourself or a colleague, see the week's calendar, manage employees and vehicles, assign permits from the pool and check usage and billing.

  • Employees only see what their role allows
  • Temporary release of a permit for a day off
  • Work and personal parking kept apart
Company portal · Bookings

For drivers

Find, book and pay, from the phone in their pocket.

Built mobile-first: find parking, book and pay, change or cancel bookings with automatic re-pricing, manage vehicles and memberships, and keep every receipt.

  • A running total while they're parked
  • Member rates applied automatically
  • In your brand, not ours
The customer app on a phone: a card showing the driver is parked in bay B24 with a running total, and shortcuts to find parking, add a vehicle, memberships and history.
For anyone parked

Scan, type the plate, pay. Done.

Guests pay with a card. Signed-in customers get saved cards and vehicles, member rates and the stay in their history. Employees on a company permit see "nothing to pay".

  • Pay for a recorded stay, or buy time up front
  • A clear window to drive out after paying
  • Plates parked elsewhere stay private
Pay by phone: the amount due for a plate and a card form.
For hotels, shops, restaurants and venues

Validate a guest's parking in two taps.

Staff enter the plate, see where and since when the car is parked, choose the validation and confirm. They can undo a mistake while the car is still parked.

  • Only cars at the business's own car parks can be found
  • Daily and monthly caps, shown as they're used
  • Pausing a business signs its staff out at once

Hardware & API

Plugs into the gates, cameras and pay stations you already have.

Every device talks to one versioned JSON API. A plate read comes in; a clear decision goes back: open, deny, or pay this much.

  • LPR cameras
  • Entry & exit terminals
  • Payment terminals
  • Pay stations
  • Barriers
  • Bay sensors
  • Store and forward. Devices that were offline can send reads up to 48 hours late.
  • Scoped API keys, optionally limited to one site, stored only as a hash.
  • Health checks. Devices that stop reporting raise an alert on the dashboard.

Built to be trusted

Rules the database enforces, not just the screens.

The guarantees operators care about are checked by the engines, enforced by database constraints and triggers, and covered by end-to-end tests.

  • Bookings can't overlap

Two requests racing for the same bay can't both succeed. The database refuses the second.

  • A price is never ambiguous

Every price is fully explained, or it's an explicit error. Ties are broken by priority, never by chance.

  • History is never re-priced

Tariffs are versioned. The rates a car entered under are the rates it pays, frozen on the transaction.

  • Everything is audited

Who changed what, when, and from what to what. Nobody can edit or delete the ledger or the audit log.

  • Tenants are isolated

Every query is scoped to the organisation, company and customer. Tests check that nothing leaks.
